After a long journey that started way back in February of 2021 the new EP, Snapshots, is now available on all digital platforms! A Deluxe CD version will be available soon with the 3 bonus tracks. The 3 tracks are the singles Believe, Everything I Don't Want to Be & Young as I am Today. Those songs have been available as singles in the digital world & will now be available for folks still kicking it old school(ish). The time has come & I can finally announce that Feb. 24 is set as the official release date for the new EP! It's been a long time coming and it's nice that this project is finally seeing the light of day (no pun intended ;}). In addition to the release date I'm excited for the additional announcement that the release party show will be held April 22, 2023 at the historic Geauga Theater in downtown Chardon, OH! This will be unlike any Standing 8s show you've seen up to this point. We'll be playing all the songs from this album as well as gems from the previous 8s albums, Rambler 454 records & some other surprises. Tickets are $15 each & on sale at https://www.geauga.theater/schedule.html. Doors open at 6pm & our good buddy Kevin Conaway will be playing an opening set at 7pm. Get your tix now while supplies last!

If you donated to the crowdfunding campaign for the new album then be sure to check your inbox today (Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023) at or after 1PM. Your download should be attached to the email. If there is any issue with the download then shoot an email to dan@mccoymusic.com & we'll get the issue worked out for you. The tentative official release date is February 24, 2023.

I finally got to Boston this past weekend to get the bulk of the new recordings done! It was a great trip & I got to work with some highly talented folks at Plaid Dog Recording. A couple more things need to be recorded then we mix everything down. It's been a LONG journey but there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
