Welcome to the online home of Willoughby, OH musician Dan McCoy. Tool around a bit and check out where he'll be playing, what projects he's up to and other kind of mischief he may be into.

Rambler 454 is back at PPITP!

Rambler 454 will be back at Painseville's Party in the Park on July 17th. The format will be a little different this year. Instead of having 2 stages side by side there will be one main stage & a side stage. We will be doing 2 half hour sets on the side stage. Set 1 will be from 3:30pm-4pm & set 2 will be from 5pm-5:30pm. This is always an incredibly fun event so come on out & bring the family!

Another New Demo Added To SoundCloud & The Music Page

I've added another home demo of a song, Change of Venue,I originally recorded with my band Block back in 1999. I've revamped the song a bit & when it ends up on the new album it will sound a bit more different but you'll still dig it. I promise!  Click the pic for the sounds...

New Demo Added To SoundCloud Page & Music Page

Hey everyone! Just a heads up that I've added a new demo to my SoundCloud page. The song is called Friends of Mine & is part of a collection of new songs that will end up being my new album whenever I get around to recording it. You can check out the song here...

If, for some reason, you can't check out the song over at SoundCloud you can find it on the Music page on this website under the "iPhone & Home Recordings" album which is at the bottom of the Music page...or by clicking here...http://mccoymusic.com/track/1022184/friends-of-mine-home-demo?feature_id=170113 Hope you enjoy the song!

New Video for Moving Day

I finally did one of those "sit around at home & record yourself with your iPad" videos. It's on my YouTube channel which you can get to by either following the link below or clicking on the YouTube link to the right. This video is an acoustic version of Moving Day. Check it out, like it, hate it, share it, laugh at it...whatever. Hope you enjoy it!

The Concrete Cowboy Podcast

Hey Friends & Neighbors! My good buddy Clint Holley (AKA the Concrete Cowboy) does a podcast where he interviews Cleveland area songwriters & has them play a few songs. I had the privelage of being a part of episode 4 and am sharing it with you folks right here...

Hope you folks enjoy! While you're there check out the other podcasts on his website. There's some really great stuff from some really great folks! Really!

Riding For Cancer Research

Last July I participated in Velosano, a Cleveland Clinic sponsored bicycle ride to raise money for cancer research. There are a number of courses to ride ranging from 12 miles to 206. I did the 50 mile course & am doing it again this July. My goal is to raise at least $1000 if not more. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause please follow the link below. I thank you in advance!

We're Going to the Dogs (& other fur ball friends)!

I'm stoked to announce that we (Dan McCoy & the Standing 8s) will be playing the 6th annual Lake Humane Society Rescue Rock Off! This event has emerged over the past few years as one of the premiere events the shelter puts on & we're planning on it being another stellar show. All the bands that played last year will be returning so if you missed it in '15 you can catch a reprise this year. Sunday, March 6 is the date with the action kicking off at noon & ending at 5pm. Tickets are $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door with all the proceeds going to the shelter. There will be raffles & food & MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC! Something for everyone! The bands donating their time & talent this year are Horsefeathers, Dan McCoy & the Standing 8s, The Shizz, Route 86 & Collage (in that order). As an added bonus for folks who can't make it that day but would like to donate we will have a pledge page set up soon. Details for the show can be found here...

Hope to see y'all there!
